I am struggling to care for my loved one at home

At Hospice in the Weald we are very aware that looking after a loved one with a terminal illness can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging.

Caring for someone at home can feel isolating and may leave you feeling very tired or anxious. You may also have challenges with the space in your home. The Hospice staff and volunteers understand all of these challenges and can help.
We can provide advice and support on how best to manage the care for your loved one at home, what equipment may be helpful, and how our Services can best support you.

You may also find it helpful to access Counselling

It may also be helpful to have a conversation with your loved one about their choices, and alternative options to care at home. A Hospice Nurse or Paramedic can provide you with lots of information about in-patient care at our In-Patient Ward or Cottage Hospice, and what this means for you. To find out more, please contact us on 01892 820515.
