Kirsty and her husband Andrew came to Hospice in the Weald in fear and uncertainty. Hospice care offered a place of calm, dignity, and comfort for the whole family. Through Hospice Run, Kirsty – joined by family and friends – took on a challenge to remember Andrew and give something back.
Through taking part in the 2025 Hospice Run, Kirsty helped raise vital funds to ensure that other families can receive the same support, kindness, and relief that she, her husband, and her children did, when it matters most.
“A group of us decided to do it and it just seemed a really good thing to do in Andrew’s memory at the time,” Kirsty said. “And also, I just really wanted to support the community and the Hospice, because they were just so incredible and I wanted to give back.
“It felt really, really special to be there, and I just felt a lot of comfort running round, and chatted to a few people as we were running round as well. It was really nice”
Like Kirsty, you can take on Hospice Run this year on 20th September, and with your help, Hospice in the Weald will continue to be there to care for people and their families, in your community, when they need us most.
