Hospice Run is a much-loved, closed-road running event supporting Hospice in the Weald. Whether you’re taking on your first 5k or testing yourself over our scenic half marathon, Hospice Run promises to be a great community event for every runner. Choose between our 5k, 10k, half marathon or family route.
Entry fees and fundraising from Hospice Run support the Hospice in caring for people with a terminal illness and those closest to them. We ask each runner to raise £100. If a team of five raise £150 each, they could fund the cost of our entire therapies team for a day. Your support through Hospice Run really does make a difference.
Our Family Route is the perfect opportunity to take part in Hospice Run together. With no minimum age requirement, it’s designed for everyone to enjoy as a family.

Hospice Run is proudly sponsored by Savills Tunbridge Wells – and it’s now their 20th year as sponsor! Hospice in the Weald is hugely thankful for the support shown by Savills over the entirety of the Hospice Run series. Through their backing, the event has been a long-standing, highly-anticipated annual fundraising event in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
To ensure the safety of all participants, Hospice in the Weald and our Race Partner, Nice Work, have implemented minimum age requirements for each race distance for Hospice Run 2026.
The minimum age requirements for participation are as follows:
While in previous years we have not enforced formal minimum age restrictions at Hospice Run, these changes have been introduced following careful review to strengthen participant safety and align with best practice.
These age restrictions are informed by, and aligned with, England Athletics guidelines on age-appropriate participation in road running events, which set recommended minimum ages for specific distances to protect the welfare of younger participants.
While this event takes place on closed roads with comprehensive traffic management in place, participants acknowledge and accept that the course is not fully barriered throughout. As such, several residual risks remain that are particularly relevant when considering the participation of children.
In establishing these restrictions, Hospice in the Weald and Nice Work have carefully balanced:
These measures are therefore in place to minimise risk and ensure that all participants can take part in a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised event.
By registering for the event, participants agree to abide by the specified age restrictions, which are a condition of entry and are not subject to exception.

Kirsty and her husband Andrew came to Hospice in the Weald in fear and uncertainty. Hospice care offered a place of calm, dignity, and comfort for the whole family. Through Hospice Run, Kirsty – joined by family and friends – took on a challenge to remember Andrew and give something back.
Through taking part in the 2025 Hospice Run, Kirsty helped raise vital funds to ensure that other families can receive the same support, kindness, and relief that she, her husband, and her children did, when it matters most.
Your support at Hospice Run - and beyond - enables us to continue supporting the people in our community who need care.
