From 7-13 October, Hospice Care Week will spotlight the incredible work of hospices and their dedicated staff. This week is a chance for hospices to collectively shine a light on how we work to ensure that patients and their loved ones have access to the care they need and deserve at end of life. Hospice UK, a national charity advocating for hospice care, will be leading the way by sharing stories, campaigning, and uniting the hospice sector.
This year’s theme is all about hospice retail and the role it plays in funding hospice services. The Hospice will be celebrating the brilliant contribution of our shops, highlighting the people who work there, sharing stories old and new, and much more. Without our supporters and loyal customers, Hospice in the Weald wouldn’t exist in the way it does today.
The Hospice cares for our community, offering help and support in a variety of ways to patients and their loved ones. Our teams make an extraordinary difference to people’s lives, helping to make every day the best possible for adults and children living with a terminal or life threatening illness. Your shopping helps make all that possible, because we generate more income through our charity shops than we receive in Government funding.
