At Hospice in the Weald, we have 24 beds across our two sites in Five Ashes and Pembury. With no visiting restrictions and space for families to stay, in-patient care can be individually tailored for every one of our patients. Our doctors and nursing have the time to spend making a stay as comfortable as possible so that you can focus on spending precious time together.
Our doctors and nurses will help you receive the most appropriate care tailored to your individual needs and those important to you, whether that be at Five Ashes or Pembury, you’ll receive the best possible care for you.
Our ward in Five Ashes enables patients and their loved ones to spend precious time together in a calm and safe environment. We provide end-of-life care to suit each patient’s needs. We often hear it described as a home from home and encourage everyone who stays with us to make it feel like home, bringing in comforts and personal items, even decorating their room.
Our ward in Pembury offers individual rooms to patients and if clinically appropriate you will be offered a bed here. We provide symptom control and end-of-life care to suit each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, as well as caring for and supporting those important to the patient. This might be family members or friends.
It’s often described by patients and their loved ones as a calm, tranquil and peaceful place to be – almost a haven. Some rooms face out onto beautiful apple orchards, whilst others open into our stunning Hospice gardens, and all have their own en-suite bathroom. There are 2 guest rooms on the In-Patient ward, but we also have camp beds if family members would like to stay.
We also provide support for patients in care homes across our notional catchment area. If you or your loved one would benefit from Hospice support in a care home, please contact us.
