Fundraise & Get Involved

We need to raise over £8 million every year to provide outstanding Hospice care to the local community. To get involved with our fundraising activities, design your own, or make a donation, use the information on this page.

Our ward in Five Ashes

You might be aware that our transformation programme – Shaping our Future – at Hospice in the Weald has begun. Over the next year, we’ll be delivering in-patient services at our hospice in Five Ashes while improving our Pembury Hospice.

While work is underway at Pembury, in-patients will be cared for at the hospice in Five Ashes from mid-November. Ahead of this, improvements have been made at Five Ashes to support those with more complex health needs.

Once complete, in-patient care will continue at both sites, meaning there will be two locations offering the best in-patient care for people in Kent and East Sussex.

Updates to Hospice in the Weald, Five Ashes

We have made a number of improvements to the Five Ashes building, including creating a new reception area to welcome visitors, adding an oxygen store, kitchen upgrades and improving the car park, so we can provide care for in-patients with more complex health needs.

We are fortunate to have two sites capable of admitting patients. During the refurbishment, instead of being admitted to the ward at Pembury, in-patients will be cared for at our hospice in Five Ashes.

Once the work is complete, in-patients and their loved ones will be welcomed back to the newly refurbished Hospice in Pembury and in-patient services will continue at Five Ashes, so we’ll have two sites offering hospice care.

About our Five Ashes hospice

The hospice in Five Ashes is a beautiful in-patient care setting designed to provide the best care possible to patients and their loved ones. Nestled in Five Ashes, with a backdrop of the rolling East Sussex landscape, the Hospice offers 24/7 end-of-life care to patients with non-complex needs as well as providing support for family and loved ones.

Often described as either a hotel or home from home, we aim to make stays as comfortable as possible, encouraging patients and their families to bring whatever they want and need to make their rooms feel the way they want. Whether that means bringing photos, plants, or pets there aren’t many restrictions (as long as it’s safe and fits through the doors). To find out more about our Five Ashes hospice, phone 01435 512500
