Time to Be

Counsellor and client outside with cup of tea

Time to Be is an alternative type of support that patients and those important to them can access. It offers a gentle approach complementing the more traditional counselling that some people might be less inclined to want or need. It does not prevent someone from going on to access counselling at a later stage.

Time to Be is a safe space where patients or those important to them can be supported in finding ways to talk about their situation and to help by exploring coping mechanisms and learn a range of relaxation techniques. Sessions aim to help people to achieve a sense of self-awareness, connection, calm and well-being, and also self-acceptance, by providing a place where they can address difficulties they are facing.
