Tutankhamun : Excavating the Archive

Howard Carter was the British archaeologist and Egyptologist who led the team which discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, the best-preserved pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings.
During the evening Dr Rosenow will not only share the significance of Howard Carter’s fascinating archive of photos, letters and drawings, now part of the Griffith Institute, Oxford, but will also shed light on the supposed ‘curse’ of Tutankhamun’s tomb and why the boy pharaoh continues to fascinate the world 100 years after his tomb was discovered.

Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session with Dr Rosenow and enjoy refreshments during the evening.

Kindly hosted by The Oast Theatre in Tonbridge.

This is a ticket only event with limited capacity.
