Description : The drive leads down past an apple orchard with some geese on your left.  On your right is the front lawn with some large herbaceous borders including day lilies, delphiniums, dahlias etc. There are several large trees including a sweet chestnut, walnut and plum.  At the front of the house is a west facing patio, partly shaded by a vine some alpines and several large pots of cannas, lilies and pelargoniums.

To the back, wrapping round half of the house is a border, facing north and north east, filled mainly with ferns and hostas.  There is a large, well-stocked vegetable patch.  A couple of greenhouses and growing on border.  Towards the back is a ‘jungle’ border with echium, bananas, gunnera, palms, cannas etc.   We have a immature Japanese area with acers and bamboos.

To the south of the house is a field with 4 mature oak trees and a wildflower area and an immature rhododendron walk, this will look lovely in 80 years. Just through the field is a a wildlife pond and a small area of woodland..
