How to get to Cottage Hospice
Getting to Cottage Hospice as a patient
A member of the Hospice in the Home team will help arrange admission to Cottage Hospice when it is felt to be the right time for a patient to be transferred there. It is likely that as they are entering the dying phase, patients will not be well enough to travel in a car, so we will help by arranging an ambulance to take someone from their home to Cottage Hospice.
Parking at Cottage Hospice
Parking is limited at Cottage Hospice at 18 spaces and cannot be guaranteed. We do therefore kindly request that family caregivers and visitors arrange to be dropped off there as much as possible.
Cottage Hospice is located along the busy A267 that runs through Five Ashes. In addition to the parking available at Cottage Hospice, there is on-road parking available along the nearby Leeds Lane (opposite the Five Ashes C of E primary school), or up Criers Lane. There is also Queensmount just off Criers Lane - all of this parking is about 5 minutes walk away along a footpath along the A267. There is traffic island that can help for safe crossing of the road to Cottage Hospice.
There are also good public transport links: there is a bus to Tunbridge Wells train station that regularly stops outside Cottage Hospice. This is the 251 or 252 bus service operated by Stagecoach - click here to visit the Stagecoach website and view their bus timetable.
