Sevenoaks’ ‘Love Your Labels’ a sell-out success

Thanks to all who supported the Hospice’s designer label lock-in, ‘Love Your Labels’ held for the first time at our large Sevenoaks High Street store – you helped to raised a whopping £30,000.

The free fashion event promised to be ‘dripping in luxury’, selling new and pre-loved designer and high-end high-street clothes, shoes and accessories.

Bargain hunters were queueing to get in as doors opened at 6pm on Thursday 13th October, with some even bringing small suitcases along to carry their designer swag home with them.

The fundraising event was conceived by the Hospice’s Head of Retail, Sharon Gills, who went to great lengths to ensure that the store was crammed to the rafters with designer bargains.

She said: “We are beyond thrilled to have had such incredible support for Love Your Labels. It’s raised a considerable sum for the Hospice, enabling us to continue our vital work. This simply would not have been possible without the generous donations of individuals, businesses, volunteers and support from the community. I’d like to thank everybody who contributed to making the evening a success – we couldn’t have done it without you!”

Hospice in the Weald provides care completely free of charge to patients with a terminal illness, and those important to them in Kent and northern East Sussex and is launching a new free children’s service for local families offering home visits and emotional support.

Queuing to get into Love Your Labels

Local resident and attendee, Rebecca Pearson commented, “I came to support the Hospice who helped my father before he died but I couldn’t believe the queue to get in when I turned up! There were some incredible bargains and big brand names like Hobbs, Pure and Laura Ashley. It was wonderful to see so many people show up for a great cause. I can’t wait for the next one!”

The Hospice has 29 charity shops which are scattered across west Kent and northern East Sussex, including two dedicated furniture shops and we are always looking for donations and volunteers.
