Recycle your Christmas Tree and help raise funds

Christmas tree
In partnership with Just Helping, we will be collecting Christmas trees to help local residents recycle their conifers and raise funds for charity.
The environmentally-friendly service is available for residents living in the postcode areas TN1, TN2, TN4, TN9 and TN10. People can sign up by making a voluntary donation to the Hospice, with unwanted Christmas trees collected between Friday 7th and Saturday 8th January 2022.

Lou Wardle, the Hospice’s Head of Fundraising, said: “After all the festivities, it’s always an extra job to get rid of your tree in January.

By signing up for our recycling scheme, it’s one less thing to worry about and for a donation of your choice our team of wonderful volunteers will collect your unwanted Christmas tree for recycling.

Funds raised will help us to provide tailored physical, medical and emotional support for terminally ill patients and their loved ones. Plus, thanks to Biddenden Arboriculture, they will be recycled into woodchips for our lovely gardens at the Hospice in Pembury and our Cottage Hospice in Five Ashes; special places for patients and their families to reflect and spend precious time together.”

This service is now fully booked and registrations have closed.
