More than just a race, Hospice Run is a chance to challenge yourself while making a real difference. Every entry and every pound raised goes directly to supporting Hospice in the Weald, helping provide vital care for people at the end of their lives in Kent and East Sussex. There’s plenty to look forward to on September 21st – read on to find out more…

Each entry comes with perks

Your Hospice Run entry comes packed with perks to make race day unforgettable. From chip-timed results to help you track your progress, to expert training plans and regular motivation in your inbox, we’re here to support every step of your journey — whether you’re chasing a personal best or just crossing the finish line.

You’ll also receive an exclusive finisher’s medal to mark your achievement, while soaking up the electric atmosphere on one of the South East’s most scenic closed-road routes. With live music, cheering crowds, and the support of an incredible community, this is more than a run — it’s an experience to remember.

There’s a route for everyone

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out, there’s a route for everyone at this year’s Hospice Run. Take your pick from our classic 5K and 10K courses — scenic, community-driven routes that pass local landmarks like the Spa Valley Railway Line and the beautiful High Rocks. For those seeking a bigger challenge, the half marathon offers a rewarding, undulating course that branches from the 10K route before rejoining for a memorable finish.

Families and younger participants won’t miss out either — our Hospice Heroes Family Fun Run invites children to dress up as their favourite superheroes and dash around a playful loop by Wellington Rocks, complete with water-dodging fun. No matter the distance, every step helps support hospice care for local people across Kent and East Sussex.

Your total raised will be matched

This year, your impact goes even further — every pound you raise for Hospice Run 2025 will be doubled, thanks to the generous match funding from the Freddie Green and Family Charitable Foundation (up to £75,000).

That means your £50 becomes £100, directly supporting vital hospice care in our local community. It’s a powerful reason to get involved, set a fundraising goal, and make every step count.

The many special, memorable moments

Hospice Run is more than just a race — it’s a moment to honour, reflect, and remember. Every runner has their own reason for taking part, and we’ll be marking a special moment during the event to collectively remember those we’ve lost.

In 2024, father and son Nathan and Jamie ran in memory of Lauren — Nathan’s wife and Jamie’s mum — who was cared for at the Hospice. “We did this to help keep Lauren’s name alive,” Nathan shared. “We made a lot of memories in a short space of time at the Hospice. It’s a place where Jamie felt comfortable, and they made life bearable really.” Their story, like so many others, is a powerful reminder of why every step matters.
