Hospice in the Weald welcomes new Chair of Trustees

Hospice in the Weald is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Thompson as its new Chair of Trustees. 

Jill brings a wealth of experience from both the commercial and charitable sectors. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, she held a number of senior corporate finance and investment management roles, working closely with boards and executive teams on investment, governance, strategic decision-making, mergers and acquisitions. 

Welcoming Jill to the Hospice, Chief Executive Nick Farthing said: “I am delighted to welcome Jill Thompson as our new Chair of Trustees following a robust recruitment process. Jill brings a wealth of both charitable and commercial experience, alongside a strong commitment to our mission. I am confident that her expertise will help steer Hospice in the Weald during this important period for the organisation and support us in achieving even greater impact for our community.” 

Jill is looking forward to working with fellow Trustees, volunteers and colleagues to support Hospice in the Weald in delivering outstanding care to patients and their families, while helping to shape the organisation’s future development.
