St Clere Open Gardens

St Clere Open Gardens Aerial View

Thursday 26th May – 12pm to 4pm

St Clere has a small team of gardeners who are extremely proud of their private gardens. This is a wonderful opportunity to view the delightful formal terraces, herbaceous and shrub borders, productive kitchen and herb garden, lawns, rare trees and wonderful views across the fields and lake. The orangery is at the heart of the formal gardens and was recently restored back to its original design.

A tour of the estate grounds will be available, led by head gardener and estate foreman Martin Platt. He’s a great story teller and will entertain you with tales of his 26 years of experience of working at St Clere. The tour is very informative and interesting and proved to be very popular last year. Teas and cake will be served on the terrace and in the orangery overlooking the fabulous views across the Kent countryside. A truly perfect way to relax and unwind on a sunny day.
