A big thank you to the wonderful Freddie Green and Family Charitable Foundation for offering to match every pound raised at Moonlight Walk 2023, in memory of Jo Green, who passed away in June 2021 at Hospice in the Weald. That means if you raise £50, we’ll receive £100 to put towards vital care for people in our community when they need it the most
⭐Before you head off on your Moonlight Walk, you can grab a summer cocktail, G&T or soft drink from the Booze Box, which will be located at our event village!
Coco Island Waffles and Churros will be available for those walking our 8 and 13 mile, and fresh Pizza from Odori & Sapori by Romeo will be available to buy when you return back to our event village.🌙
Thank you to our proud sponsors Savills, for once again sponsoring this amazing event and helping to make this even happen.
Both Hospice in the Weald and Savills look forward to seeing you on the night!
🌙 A torch- you will be walking in the dark so please bring a torch to light up the night
🌙 A fully charged mobile phone
🌙 Comfortable walking shoes
🌙 A bottle of water
🌙 Some snacks
🌙 A poncho or umbrella in case it rains
🌙 A photo or memento of your loved one so they can join us in celebration on the walk
Everyone is welcome but all participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We ask all Moonlight Walkers over the age of 13 to raise sponsorship for their walk but we would love for younger participants to get involved too with the help of friends and family.
We rely on your sponsorship for the success of Moonlight Walk; this year we are aiming to raise over £50,000 to support patients and their loved ones.
Our fundraising team are here every step of the way to give you easy tips and tricks to reach your fundraising target. The first step is to set up your Just Giving Page by following the link below
Walkers that raise over a certain amount will be eligible for an exclusive Moonlight Walk gift!
Set up my Just Giving pageYes please! We welcome all well behaved dogs at Moonlight Walk; your furry friend is very welcome.
We just ask that you please keep your dog on the lead throughout the whole walk, especially in Knole Park around the deer
The safety of all Moonlight Walk participants is very important to us. All routes will have marshals with phones or radios directing you and answering any questions.
Medical professionals will be walking with participants on all routes and the Raynet radio team will be strategically placed around the route for quick communication.
We’d expect the routes to take approximately:
🌙 4 miles: 1-2 hours
🌙 8 miles – 3-4 hours
🌙 13 miles- 4- 5 hours
We have allocated 5 hours maximum for Moonlight Walk so please make sure you have returned to Sevenoaks Rugby Club by 12:00am at the latest so you can enjoy a glass of fizz and a sit down.
Unfortunately not. All 3 routes take you through Knole Park where there is limited access to paths, and some areas of the route are cobbled which would not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
We need over 100 volunteers to make Moonlight Walk possible, without their support, we simply can't go ahead with the event. If you're able to volunteer, please fill in the enquiry form below.
Volunteers are essential to the success of our events, they ensure our participants remain safe and importantly encourage them as they take on their challenge.
The main role of our volunteers is as route guides. You will be given a high vis, a route guide buddy and will be fully briefed ahead of the event with full instructions on where to stand and what direction to send the walkers.

When the Davies family decided they wanted to give back to the Hospice that cared for their beloved mum and wife Sarah, Moonlight Walk seemed the ideal opportunity. In their story, they explain just how special the event was and how they continue to celebrate the life of the woman at the heart of their family.
