What is Hospice Run?

Hospice Run is a much-loved closed-road running event supporting Hospice in the Weald. Whether you’re taking on your first 10k or setting your new half marathon PB, Hospice Run promises to be a great community event for every runner. Choose between our 5k, 10k and Half Marathon routes.

Entry fees and fundraising from Hospice Run support Hospice in the Weald in caring for those with terminal illness and those closest to them.

We ask each runner to raise £100 for the Hospice. If you went above and beyond this and raised £155, this would fund a three-hour session of care for one child by two children’s healthcare assistants, offering fun and engaging activities for the child whilst offering valuable respite for carers.  If a team of 5 raised £150 each, they could fund the cost of our entire therapies team for a day, offering physio, occupational therapy, group classes and securing vital equipment for patients to make life easier and more comfortable.

Can I wear headphones?

For safety reasons, wearing headphones is not permitted as we want to make sure you can hear any safety instructions from our marshals on the route.

Bone-conducting headsets are permitted.

What measures are in place for participant safety?

To ensure the safety of all our participants we work with our traffic management company to close the roads for the event.

We will also have our wonderful marshals with phones or radios placed in strategic positions around the course.

Medical professionals will be present on all routes and at the event village.

Please listen to marshal instructions and be aware that marshals can only advise motorist and do not have the power to stop traffic. Emergency vehicles will be given access to the route.

Are there toilets?

Yes, toilets will be available at the event village on the day.

Please make sure you give yourself enough time to use them ahead of the start of your run.

Where can I view my run time?

Our chip timing company Nice Works will upload all run times to their website shortly after the event.

What's your refund policy?

Given the limited number of spaces for the event, entry fees are non-refundable unless we change the event venue or date.

If you are unable to attend Hospice Run, your registration fee will be accepted as a donation.
