We need to raise more than £10 million every year to provide Hospice care and support for our local community. If you want to get involved, join one of our fundraising activities, create your own, or make a donation; everything you need is on this page.
Next summer, our renewed Inpatient Ward at Pembury will open its doors to local people who need specialist hospice care. We’re now turning our attention to what goes inside it. With your support, we can equip every room with the furniture, furnishings and specialist equipment needed to provide outstanding care in a modern, comfortable and welcoming environment.
From specialist beds that keep patients comfortable and cuddle beds that help families stay close, to artwork and furnishings that create a calm and welcoming environment, every item on our nurses’ Christmas ‘Wish List’ has been carefully chosen to make a difference.
Please help ensure every room is fully equipped and ready to support local people for years to come.
The hospice becomes a home for people while they’re here, and we want them to feel safe, cared for, and surrounded by comfort. Every item our nurses have wished for has been carefully chosen to help create that.
When someone is receiving hospice care, the environment around them matters. Comfortable furniture, specialist equipment and welcoming spaces can help patients feel more at ease and enable families to spend precious time together. Claire experienced this first-hand when her mum, Sarah, received care at our hospice in Five Ashes.
“Mum said hospital had been ‘economy class’, being at home was ‘business class’, but the hospice was ‘first class’.” She added: “I couldn’t have imagined a better place.”
We want to be ready for patients like Sarah, so even more local people can benefit from an exceptional experience in our care.
