Medical Executive Assistant

Commitment: Full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time considered

Salary: £21,833 (FTE)


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide a high level of administrative support to our Medical and Care Directors.

You will need to be self-motivated with exceptional organisational skills to enable you to work autonomously and effectively manage your workload.  You will be enthusiastic and proactive and able to skillfully communicate with a variety of different people and juggle competing priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure.

Your experience will include minute taking at a senior/board level, diary management and creating reports along with exceptional ICT skills. Confidentiality and diplomacy in dealing with information of a confidential and often sensitive nature is also essential.

Research Manager

This post requires someone with a solid research background together with experience of gaining research funding, to help move forward the concept of Cottage Hospice by developing the research base.

The new purpose-built Cottage Hospice is the first of its kind in the UK, and with our University Research Partners from the International Observatory in End of Life Care, we are intent on making sure of its success. Where we lead others will follow. It will open its doors in Autumn 2019 to patients in the last weeks of life and their Family Caregivers.

You will write robust research proposals to apply for funding bids, secure funding and put out to tender for researchers looking at the concept of Cottage Hospice and in particular the health economics of this innovative service.
