We need to raise over £8 million every year to provide outstanding Hospice care to the local community. To get involved with our fundraising activities, design your own, or make a donation, use the information on this page.
A Macbeth Gala Charity Evening, organised by The Shakespeare Project and held on Saturday, 9th November at Salomons Estate, raised more than £550 for Hospice in the Weald.
Artistic Director Peter Basham commented that, “The work of Hospice in the Weald is so important for our community, helping patients and their families to come to terms with end of life.’ He went on to thank the generous audience for its support. The latter, including well-known actors Allan Corduner, Nigel Fairs and Ben Humphrey, not only enjoyed a marvellous Macbeth performance, but were treated to bubbles and canapes at a pre-show reception and given the chance to mingle with crew and cast afterwards. Donations to Hospice in the Weald will continue to be collected by The Shakespeare Project until the end of the run. Their last performance will be this Sunday 24th November.
Such giving is so important to enable us to provide vital care in your community. Minh Lan Nguyen, Relationship Fundraising Coordinator said, “It’s been a pleasure working with Peter and his team. They are so professional and kind, our ambassador Glen thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance when he was invited to say a few words. We look forward to more events like this in the future.”
