Time to Be is a type of support that patients and those important to them can access. It is an alternative to more traditional counselling that some people might be less inclined to want or need. It does not prevent someone from going on to access counselling at a later stage.
Time to Be is a space where patients or those important to them can be supported in finding ways to talk about their coping mechanisms and learn a range of relaxation techniques. Sessions aim to help people to achieve a sense of calm and well-being, and sometimes self-acceptance, by providing a place where they can address difficulties they are facing.
To arrange support through Time to Be, an introductory assessment will be arranged with a member of the Counselling & Support Service team.
