Introducing Herd of the Hospice?

We are delighted to announce the much anticipated Herd of the Hospice? campaign as seen on BBC South East Today (Link below).

Herd of the Hospice? is a major public art installation and fundraising campaign for Hospice in the Weald. From July until October 2017, a herd of uniquely decorated horse sculptures will gallop into parks and public areas across West Kent and East Sussex to bring businesses, individuals and local community groups, including schools, together through a range of sponsorship opportunities and community activities.

Each of the 25 horses will be individually decorated by different artists and generously sponsored by local businesses and individuals.   The horses will also be joined by a herd of pony sculptures designed by local school children.

The horses will be displayed across various locations in West Kent and East Sussex before culminating in a farewell event and auction in October 2017.

This campaign is not only going to raise vital funds and awareness for Hospice in the Weald but is a chance for us to thank you, our community, for your invaluable support. The 'trek' of at least 25 unique horses will create a compelling focal point in the community and generate a positive atmosphere and bring the public together, drawing people to local landmarks  and creating a fun experience for the community we serve.

We are delighted to be supporting Hospice in the Weald’s Herd of the Hospice? Campaign,” says Nick Grundy, Business Analyst and CSR Relationship Manager at Fidelity International. “This campaign offers Fidelity an excellent opportunity to give back to our local community and benefit from the associated media coverage. We are pleased to be partnering with a truly worthwhile and important local charity that touches the lives of so many people. We would urge other local businesses to saddle up and join the herd too”.

If you would like to find out more and meet one of our horses please join us at our Art for Art’s Sake Event at Hospice in the Weald or call Emma on 01892 820542

We hope you saddle up and join the Herd!
