Hazel got Woolly for the Weald!
What better to do during a Lockdown than pick up your knitting needles and raise some money for the Hospice?!
Hazel recently raised £1,300 for Hospice in the Weald by knitting a replica of a famous Cardigan and asking for donations in exchange for raffle tickets. The lucky winner was Barrie and the cardigan has made its way to him.
"This was a prize draw in aid of Hospice in the Weald. The aim was to raise £1,250, which was the value of the JW Anderson original cardigan. The prize was a luxury, 100% Yorkshire Merino wool cardigan/jacket, inspired by the work of designer JW Anderson. The patchwork garment was worn by iconic pop star, Harry Styles and is currently on display at the V&A in London. I chose to fundraise for Hospice in the Weald during the Christmas period because of the impact that the pandemic is having on charities. Hospice in the Weald has continued to provide free of charge care to individuals and their loved ones, facing a terminal diagnosis; including those affected by COVID. I hope that by knitting this lovely cardigan/jacket for the prize draw I can support the excellent work of the Hospice."
Thank you, Hazel!
