Counselling & Support Service Awarded Accredited Status
The support provided by Hospice in the Weald’s Counselling and Support Services has been recognised by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accreditation scheme. The Counselling and Support Service supports patients, their families or carers, including children, during their illness and also in bereavement, by providing 1:1 counselling and group meetings called Tea Junctions.
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) works to ensure the importance of making a positive contribution to mental wellbeing. It provides a robust framework to ensure the highest possible standards are set to protect individuals seeking therapy.
What does this accreditation mean?
The BACP accreditation scheme recognises the ‘achievements of high standards of knowledge, experience and development in counselling and psychotherapy’. The accreditation demonstrates the high standards and professionalism of the service available to our patients, their families and carers.
As with all Hospice in the Weald services, this individualised, professional care would not be possible without our staff and volunteers. To find out more about the Counselling & Support Service please click here.
