Travel Club Annual Membership for 2016 remains at a very cost effective £10 for the whole year which allows you priority booking on our trips. Non-members can book onto trips one month in advance where spaces are still available. Please see our trips detailed below!

Brighton Pavilion

Wander amid the sumptuous splendours of the Royal Pavilion Brighton and spend the afternon enjoying the eclectic collection at the Brighton Museum in the Pavilion gardens. We will have a tour of the Royal Pavilion included, tea and biscuits and a break for lunch in the area.

Historic Dockyard, Chatham

The Navy left the dockyard in 1984 but it has now been transformed into a fitting tribute through which you can walk. We will also be enjoying a guided tour of the filiming locations of the dockyard where James Bond, Les Miserables, Sherlock Holmes and more were shot.

Bodiam Castle

Bodiam is the archetype of a medieval castle and it will be brought to life with our guided tour. Inside the walls, the grand rooms are now in ruins but it is not hard to imagine the feasts in the surviving area of the great hall. We’ll be ending our visit with tea, included in the tour price, in the castle’s own café.

Kent Coast

 

 

Starting the day at the cliffs above Broadstairs and Botany Bay for coffee and a danish pastry, we will then enjoy a blue-badge guided drive via Ramsgate heading onto to Sandwich and the Secret Gardens which Monty Don rates as one of his top ten favourites'. After a tour of the gardens, owned by the bibulous posh couple from TV's Gogglebox, we'll continue onto Deal for afternoon tea before heading home.

Kew Gardens

A day out at the world's most famous botanic garden is a chance to explore the wonders of 325 acres of landscapes and glasshouses in a setting so special that it has been designated a World Heritage Site. To help you get around all the attractions, your tour fee includes unlimited journeys on the Kew Explorer, the hop-on, hop-off land train which runs around the site. And when you need a break, we’ve also included the price of a welcome cream tea.

​Waddesdon Manor 

With a slightly earlier start to this trip we have a fun packed day ahead, with tea and biscuits on arrival. Travel Club has been to Waddeson Manor before, this time around we’ll be guided around the wine cellars to hear about the Rothschild’s wine-making heritage and the 13,000 bottles stored in the vaults before we enjoy a tasting of two Rothschild wines, included in the tour fee.

London, French Style

First we’ll take a blue-badge guided tour through London’s French Quarter hear about the French presence in the capital, after which we will break for lunch in the area before moving on to the V&A. Here our party will divide into two small groups so that each can enjoy a close-up study of French decorative arts and design while each can also have free time to visit the British Galleries to see the impact of French design on English manufacture in the 19th century, when the French style became all the rage.

Discover the fascinating story behind Geoffrey Chaucer’s famous tales and learn more about Kent’s great tradition of brewing with this special day out in East Kent. Join an award winning guide to discover the fascinating history and heritage of Shepherd Neame followed by a tutored tasting and a two-course lunch. Afterwards, we will follow in Chaucer’s merry band’s footsteps and journey to the cathedral city of Canterbury to experience the Canterbury Tales.
