Special Notice: We are working to the latest guidance from Public Health England and the NHS regarding the current situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In some instances, we are taking additional precautions to safeguard our patients, families, carers and our workforce. This guidance has led us to make the decision that Moonlight Walk should not go ahead this year and the event is now cancelled. We truly appreciate how disappointing this news will be to those who were hoping to take part. If you have already signed up, we will contact you directly in the next few days.
You can still support your local Hospice during these difficult times and help us continue to provide vital Hospice care to those in need.
As we all navigate through unprecedented times, the challenges of living with a terminal illness remain the same. Our Hospice in the Home team are still providing care and support for patients in their own homes through visits and telephone calls. Our In-Patient Ward is still in full operation, and we are working hard to follow NHS guidelines and keep patients, families and carers safe in these difficult times. We are still providing Counselling support for patients and families via telephone and video link. For many, this is a particularly stressful time, and this support is much-needed.
Looking ahead, we hope you will be able to join us later in the year for our Starlight Stroll, due to take place on Saturday 17th October 2020. Starlight Stroll begins from the Hospice in Pembury, through Dunloran Park, finishing at the Labryinth in the Hospice gardens.
A beautiful 5 mile walk, illuminated by lanterns carried by the walkers, the event will be a special way to reflect, remember and share those memories with fellow walkers.
We hope you will join us and thank you for supporting local patients.
