Why We Need Volunteers
Hospice in the Weald is reliant on our volunteers. Quite simply, we couldn't provide the exceoptional service that we do without their hard work and committment.
We need volunteers across the whole organisation, whether this be at the Hospice in Pembury, in one of our 27 charity shops or from 2019 at our groundbreaking new Cottage Hospice in Five Ashes.
Some of our volunteers bring with them a lifetime of experience, others find the experience and confidence gained by volunteering a useful stepping stone on the way to a rewarding career.
Volunteering can give you a sense of achievement or could help to make new friends or discover hidden talents.
You could choose to volunteer in a role to which you bring your past experience, or try something completly new. We will be happy to train and support you in whichever role we agree will be mutually beneficial.
The greatest benefit to the Hospice is that by giving your time for free, we can strive always to provide more for our patients, families and carers.
