Light up a Life - 5 December 2015
Last December more than 500 people were welcomed by our staff and volunteers to remember their loved ones, at our Light up a Life service. Accompanied by The Salvation Army, our Hospice Choir and ‘Women in Harmony’ (2015 winners of our Hospice Choir Competition) performed uplifting Christmas carols in front of our beautifully lit Christmas tree. Reflective pieces were read by our staff and volunteers before everyone was invited inside, to warm up with refreshments and delicious mince pies. Adorned on our Hospice Day Service Christmas tree were poignant handwritten messages from families and friends, and candles were lit to remember loved ones. For those who were unable to attend our Hospice service, other Light up a Life services were held within our community during November and December. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has kindly supported our Light up a Life Appeal. The names of your loved ones have been included in our Light up a Life Book of Remembrance which is on display in the Hospice Reception.
Our Moonlight Walks give family and friends an opportunity to remember their loved one by walking in memory of someone special. Please click here for further details of our 2016 Moonlight Walks taking place on 4th June in Sevenoaks and 11th June in Tunbridge Wells and other Hospice fundraising events.
