The
home care volunteer team consists of carefully selected
members who have received special training in a range
of support services. Although not medical staff they
are an invaluable part of the Hospice in the Weald team.

The
home care team provides pre-arranged support for patients
and their families in a variety of ways, depending on
patient's requests and needs. They can help by providing
transport, providing a break outside the home or by
visiting patients at home to give carers a break. They
can even help by walking dogs!
Access
to the service is through your Clinical Nurse Specialist
at the Hospice.
The frequency of visits also depends on the patient's
requirement. Some people may require a weekly visit,
others less often. Please feel free to discuss your
request with Kim Brophy, our Voluntary Services Manager
(01892
820529).
