The Herd is on the move!

The Herd is on the move! image

Herd of the Hospice?  Our horses are galloping your way!

Spotted any yet? Don’t forget to take a selfie!

Like all horses, ours are beautiful, proud and majestic with flowing manes and swishing tails. But you’ve never seen anything like this! Our life-size horse sculptures come in every colour and design. So if you fancy a fun day out, stop horsing around and head out into the fresh air to hunt down the famous Hospice in the Weald herd!

Each of our 24 horses is unique. Find them in public places across West Kent and East Sussex. To track them down and find the ones nearest to you, download a Herd Trek map from the website www.herdofthehospice.co.uk

How you can get involved

Take a selfie

We want to see as many selfies with the horses as possible.  When you track down a horse, take a selfie and share it on social media with the hashtag #jointheherd on twitter @thehospiceherd or facebook herdofthehospice.  There’ll be a prize at the end of the campaign for the best selfie!  Hopefully your posts will encourage others to do the same

Text to donate

If you’ve enjoyed spotting the Herd please do text to donate and support your local Hospice.  90p in every £1 raised goes directly towards patient care.  Every donation makes a difference!  You can read first-hand how your donations support patients, their families and carers here < http://www.hospiceintheweald.org.uk/hospice-voices >

Text HERD to 70660 to donate £3 to Hospice in the Weald

Pop into the Herd shop

At the end of July the Herd will have their very own shop in Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, in Tunbridge Wells.  The shop will be open to the public to buy special herd merchandise.  You will also have the opportunity to add your own hand print to a horse that is yet to be decorated.

Our stunning horses have already created a stampede of interest in the parks and other public spaces where they are on display. Individually decorated by local artists and generously sponsored by local businesses and individuals, they are a major public art installation and fundraising campaign for The Hospice in the Weald.

The Herd will stay on show until October when the horses will be brought together for an exhibition at Royal Victoria Place.

We’ll look forward to seeing your selfies online!  Thank you in advance for joining the Herd!
