An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dynamic individual with extensive teaching experience within specialist palliative care to lead the education provision for the Hospice.
Based in our newly extended Education Suite you will be responsible for developing further the excellent range of educational courses we already provide, ensuring we meet our Hospice and the recently published End of Life Care Strategy education aims.
The post holder will be required to work closely with Hospice staff, other Hospices, Hospitals, PCT’s, Universities, Nursing and Residential Homes providing education at various levels in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will have good organisational and communication skills, be able to work autonomously and also be part of an experienced wider team.

Voluntary Services Co-ordinator Job Description

Our many Volunteers support the Hospice in most of our activities and service areas. They are an integral part of the Hospice team and support patients and staff.
Your main purpose will be to support and deputise for the Voluntary Services Manager and to promote, manage and develop the volunteer service for the Hospice internally and externally to the mutual benefit of the organisation, patients and volunteers.
You will have specific responsibility for managing, training and supervising the Home Care team of volunteers who provide support to our patients in the community. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering induction and training programmes to all volunteers
A strong team player and effective communicator, you will have excellent people skills and the confidence to present information to individuals and groups.
Happy to work in a team or alone you will have a responsible and flexible attitude as well as a strong motivation to work for our charity.
