Homecare Volunteers
Homecare visitors are volunteers who provide companionship and practical support to patients at home. They are trained and supported by the Hospice. The service they provide can range from providing company at home to taking patients out for a drive. They can also sit with a patient to allow their carer or relative a well earned rest. Lifts are also provided for patients coming to the Hospice for appointments with medical staff or therapists.
Referrals for this service are made by your Community Nurse Specialist.
