PORK PIES, STILTON AND TEA AT THE VICARAGE

A fascinating and informative guided day out in the heart of the English shires. We travel through the rolling lanes of Rutland and Leicestershire to Melton Mowbray to discover the delights of traditional pork pies and Stilton – the “King” of English cheeses.

Explore on the regions finest and busiest street markets, soak up the buzz and excitement of the cattle market, explore the cathedral like parish church and enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Later see a pork pie making demonstration and sample the product with some goodies to take home!!!

The afternoon is rounded off in style with delicious homemade tea and cakes in the rectory in the pretty village of Teigh – used as Mr Collin’s Parsonage in “Pride and Prejudice”.
