Facilities

The Education, Learning and Development Centre is purpose built and is situated in the main Hospice building. Click How to find us for directions. Our facilities include a main teaching/conference room and a meeting room. Please click Hiring our Facilities  for more information.

Teaching/Conference Room

The room has climate control and is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, computer technology for presentations using PowerPoint, internet access and DVD. Flip charts and write-on white boards are also available. The room can accommodate seating for up to 60 delegates or arranged to accommodate seating and tables for group work.

Meeting Room

This room has computer technology for presentations and is suitable for smaller group teaching with seating and tables, and can be used as a meeting room for internal and external use.

Library/Learning Resource Area

The Hospice has a library of books and journals relating to all aspects of palliative care which may be accessed by course participants and staff. Computers are available for literature searching and support to search for literature may be booked with our Audit and Information Co-ordinator by emailing education@hospiceintheweald.org.uk.

Parking

Free parking is available on site with further free parking available outside the Hospice entrance on Maidstone Road.

Disabled Access

There are a small number of disabled parking bays in our car park.  The Hospice has full disabled access including a lift.
