Moonlight Walk tutu's

An evening full of sparkle

🌈 Dress to impress: Unleash your inner sparkle. Adorn yourself in vibrant tutus, glow sticks, and all things dazzling. This is your chance to shine as bright as the moon and honour your loved ones in style.

🌙 Under the moonlight: There’s something truly magical about walking beneath the moon. As the night sky casts its gentle glow, we’ll come together in a spectacle of unity, love, and shared memories.

Moonlight Walk

Unable to walk with us on the 15th? Join our virtual Moonlight Walk, wherever you are this June!

You choose the distance and the route… walk in your local park, your favourite place or even whilst relaxing on holiday.

From the 10th – 16th of June, whether you’re taking part as a school, a community group, with friends or on your own, all are welcome to take part and make a difference. With no restrictions on distance or location, you can stroll under the moonlight (or daylight!) all whilst raising money for Hospice in the Weald.

FAQs

What should I bring?

🔦 A torch – you will be walking in the dark so please bring a torch to light up the night

📱 A fully charged mobile phone

👟 Comfortable walking shoes

💧 A bottle of water

🍌 Some snacks

☂ A poncho or umbrella in case it rains

📷 A photo or memento of your loved one so they can join us in celebration on the walk

Who can take part in Moonlight Walk?

Everyone is welcome but all participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What about fundraising?

We ask all Moonlight Walkers over the age of 13 to raise sponsorship for their walk but we would love for younger participants to get involved too with the help of friends and family.

We rely on your sponsorship for the success of Moonlight Walk; this year we are aiming to raise over £80,000 to support patients and their loved ones.

Our fundraising team are here every step of the way to give you easy tips and tricks to reach your fundraising target. When you sign up to Moonlight Walk, an Enthuse fundraising page will automatically be set up for you. You will receive the link via email, taking you to your page, which you can customise, add stories and training progress.

Walkers that raise over a certain amount will be eligible for an exclusive Moonlight Walk gift!

Can I bring my dog?

Yes please! We welcome all well behaved dogs at Moonlight Walk; your furry friend is very welcome.

We just ask that you please keep your dog on the lead throughout the whole walk, especially in Knole Park around the deer.

What measures are in place for participant safety?

The safety of all Moonlight Walk participants is very important to us. All routes will have marshals with phones or radios directing you and answering any questions.

Medical professionals will be walking with participants on all routes and the Raynet radio team will be strategically placed around the route for quick communication.

How long do the routes take?

We’d expect the routes to take approximately:

🌙  4 miles: 1-2 hours

🌙  8 miles – 3-4 hours

🌙  13 miles- 4- 5 hours

We have allocated 5 hours maximum for Moonlight Walk so please make sure you have returned to Sevenoaks Rugby Club by 12:00am at the latest so you can enjoy a glass of fizz and a sit down.

Are the routes suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs?

Unfortunately not. All 3 routes take you through Knole Park where there is limited access to paths, and some areas of the route are cobbled which would not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Is walking not for you?

We need over 100 volunteers to make Moonlight Walk possible, without their support, we simply can't go ahead with the event. If you're able to volunteer, please fill in the enquiry form below.

Volunteers are essential to the success of our events, they ensure our participants remain safe and importantly encourage them as they take on their challenge.
The main role of our volunteers is as route guides. You will be given a high vis, a route guide buddy and will be fully briefed ahead of the event with full instructions on where to stand and what direction to send the walkers.
